About me

Hi - I'm Keith Braman, a writer and independent filmmaker living near Asheville, NC.  I attended a 2-year college on a baseball scholarship, then made the roster of a university team as a walk-on. I was invited to join Phi Beta Kappa my junior year of college.

To date I have written 3 novels, The Bartow Abductions, Devil's Batch, and Burial Ground, over 50 short stories, 1 how-to book, entitled Pixels & Pizza, based on my first experience making an independent movie, and lyrics to over 100 songs. I have also penned a dozen feature-length screenplays.  All of my writings are available for purchase or option. The budgets for my screenplays range from a low-budget horror set in the woods of NC to a high-budget New York City romantic comedy. The first draft of this romantic comedy screenplay, before 5 revisions, was a quarter-finalist in the prestigious Page Awards.

I am also available for hire and can write a feature screenplay for you in 3 months. If interested, let's talk.

I have also written, directed, and edited three feature-length independent movies, the first, House of Poets, a drama that has a reality show feel and mostly improvised within the guidelines of a blueprint, and The Purple Box, a psychological drama. The third, a horror movie entitled Devil's Vein, is due out soon.

In 2001 I optioned 3 of my short stories to an independent film producer. I co-wrote a screenplay from one of those stories for a short film that premiered at the Sedona International Film Festival and was viewed at the New York City Home Film Festival.

I am a serious writer and filmmaker. Along with film courses in college I attended the Dov S.S. Simon's 2-day Film School in NYC to brush up on the business of film-making. I am open to talks with an agent or manager regarding representation. I am interested in exploring my domestic and foreign rights options regarding all my creations. I seek an established. successful agent or manager.

Thank you for visiting.
